Good Ol' Fashion Family-Fun Bowling Night

So for about a week I have been telling my parents that our family needs to go bowling at Fat Cats (mainly because of their awesome breadsticks). Last night, they finally decided that we should all go except for the fact that they chose some kind of ghetto place clear out in Sandy. This is what it looked like when we walked in.
As you can see, it was a little empty and we thought maybe they were closed. But the bowling alley was in the back right under that little red sign. We got a good laugh out of how the entrance looked though. Then we had some grand times bowling where I proceeded to lose the first game (by a lot of points). So my dad, who is basically a professional bowler, said he would try to lose to me in our next game without purposely throwing it in the gutter. He kept getting strikes even when he tried to lose to me haha so I still lost, but it was quite fun. This is my lovely family and I loved them so much. I am so grateful that this wonderful gospel will let me be able to be with them forever(:
Did I mention we're kind of crazy too?
Let's not forget those oh-so-fashionable bowling shoes.
And did I also mention how much I love my little brother? Ladies, he's single. #WhatACutie
What a fun night. Love these crazy peeps(:

Quote of the day:

So lately, I've been having a really difficult time letting go of the past, mainly because I didn't (and still really don't) understand a situation that I went through or why it happened the way that it did. But I do know this; Heavenly Father is there for me. He has never left me alone, and it's because of this one simple truth that I am able to look forward with faith and have faith in my future. I know that God is writing my story, and even though I may not always understand everything that is going on, I rely on His eternal knowledge in knowing what is best for me and what I can handle with His help.
Having faith is a really simple, yet bold act. By doing so, we show how much we trust in Heavenly Father and His plan for us. It is bold because sometimes, it's a really hard thing to do even though it's such a simple act. I know that if we have faith in Heavenly Father's plan for us and what He has in store for us, we will be blessed and our hearts and minds will be enlightened with seeing things in the eternal perspective rather than just with the "here and now." Letting go of the past is really hard most of the time, but Heavenly Father will never leave us comfort less, especially in our times of need. One day we will see that everything we have gone through will be for our good and make us a better, stronger, wiser Child of God. Let go of the past and have faith in the future.

My First Blog Post

Well, I guess I decided to start a blog, and one thing you should know about me is that once I decide to do something, I do it; no ands, ifs, or buts about it. I really wanted to do this because this world needs a little more happiness and a little more "smiles and sunshine", if you will. The things that are going to be put on this lovely blog of mine are uplifting, silly, happy, positive, cheerful, make-you-smile quotes, stories, lyrics, pictures, poems, and everything in between. The following quote is sort of what inspired me to want to make a blog that is uplifting, just so I can make other people happy.(:
