Guys....I'm on a mission!

Had that realization last week. Sometimes it hits me every now and again...like "woah...I'm really here." So there's that.
This week was, again, full of miracles. The Lord truly is blessing me and Sister Stewart so much in all of the work we do!
So, one of the first miracles from this week: We go and stop by this LA (less active) lady because we have been wanting to teach her daughter who is 8 and not yet baptized. She wasn't home. So we have a few minutes and there are lights on in the house across the street. So i think "we should go knock on that house." So we do. Yeah, it was another LA that we didn't even know was there. And although they weren't interested in having us come back, it was cool to be able to recognize that that thought wasn't me, it was the Spirit! So that was cool.
Miracle number 2: M.!!! Oh my goodness. M. is so amazing. We found her about 2 weeks ago tracting in like the hottest, most humid weather I have ever experienced on my mission. Sister Stewart and I were dying of thirst so we were like "okay, next house we knock on, we're asking for some water." And then we knocked on M.'s door and she was so prepared. Then when we taught her last week she had so many honest questions! it was like a refreshing drink of water (pun intended) to be able to actually teach someone who was sincerely interested!! She asked about the Word of Wisdom and so we taught it to her and she said she didn't have a problem with any of them except for she drinks green tea once in a while, but she RAN OUT OF GREEN TEA EARLIER THAT WEEK!!! What a miracle. And she said she likes lemon herbal tea better anyways. So M. is basically so great and we can't wait to meet with her again(:
Miracle number 3: On Tuesday we were tracting and in our mission, the strandard is to have at least 20 QGC's (quality gospel conversations) per day so we can get at least 1 NI (new investigator) per day. So we were tracting and we had just barely hit 20 QGC's and hadn't found a NI yet. In my head I'm like "what the heck Heavenly Father. You promised us a NI when we get 20 QGC's a day." Next house we knock on? New investigator. What a lovely, humbling, slap in the face that was. Never doubt the Lord's promises!! So that was amazing.
Miracle number 4: S. and L.! They are roommates and so solid. They are so STOKED to read the Book of Mormon. They said "the pope is a great guy, but where did he get his authority?" So we explained the priesthood to them and they said that it totally makes sense. L. also loved how we told her that the only way to know the BofM is true is by reading it and praying about it! They are so solid and we can't wait to meet with them again in 2 weeks (they're on vacation) but said they'd read the BofM while they were away.
Anyyways, the Lord has blessed us so much and we are so excited to see what this week holds in store for us! I love you all so much(:
  xoxo
Love always, Sister Brittany Anne Larsen(:

P.S. oh and also we went finding on this strett cleeeeear out in the boonies that only had 3 houses on it and found a new investigator. have miracles ceased?! i say unto you, nay!

"and that...is a crazy lady." (can you name it?)

Alright alright, so i can't really give the full details of the reasoning for my title this week, but basically let's just say I've been exposed to a whole new world of things that would have never ocurred inside my little bubble back in good ol' Murray, Utah. I ran away from this woman though. She was terrifying and you could not feel the Spirit at all around her. It was sad. But we shoved a Gospel of Jesus Christ pamphlet in her hand and then proceeded to run away.
Aaaanyways, this week has been...interesting. All of our baptismal dates dropped. I was emailing one of my dear friends recently and he asked me sarcastically for dating advice. I said "what's a date if it's not a baptismal date?" yeah, all my previous knowledge of the opposite gender has gone out the window since becoming a full-time missionary. Which I am actually quite proud of, to be considered one of those "weird sister missionaries", but whatever. Judge me. So like I was saying, no dates. So we are hoping to set some soon in the next week or so...our investigators just have not been super solid lately, which is quite heart-breaking to see when you've worked so hard with them and prayed so fervently that they will actually accept what you are teaching and even when the Spirit testifies to them, they still reject it. But WE DO NOT LOSE HOPE!! Rule #1 in Sister Larsen's Book of Knowledge. There's a lot of "rule #1's" in there, but that's a story for a different day.
It is so weird that we are half way through with yet another transfer. The time goes by oh so quickly. And before I know it I'll be leavin' on a jet plane back to my home town that I love so much. I love this place though. God could not have put me in a more beautiful part of the world than right here in British Columbia. The people are amazing and the miracles are even more wonderful than I could have ever imagined before coming on a mission. This church is true and it changes lives! I love you all(:

Love always, Sister Brittany Anne Larsen(:

Us and President Tilleman. He called it "a tearful goodbye" picture haha We had interviews with him and of course that always ends in spiritual tears.
