Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear Peeps,

So, I know that Canadian Thanksgiving was more than a month ago, but I'm still an American, so Happy Thanksgiving!!! #'Merica
haha sorry I am ever so lame. I think mission brain has finally gotten to me. My jokes are so dumb. Anyways, Tuesday was great. We had dinner with the M.'s and it was delicious! Sister H. tried Banana Bread for the first time!! Thought that was crazy that she'd never had it before! Then we saw the W.'s and that was sooo great because they are just amazing like that.
Wednesday we had District Meeting and afterwards Sister H. and I got Tickleberry's Ice Cream! It was delicious!
Thursday we did Weekly Planning and had a great lesson with D., one of our investigators about the Restoration. It was so great and the Spirit was so strong! She gave us a deer leg and some deer chops to take home with us. Still haven't cooked them. I'm a little nervous since I don't really know HOW I'm supposed to cook them...but it should be fun to try!
Friday was awesome. We did some service for the S.'s and walked their dogs for them(: We also found a new investigator named K.! She has a little baby named F. and her boyfriend's name is T. She seems really interested and we are very excited to start teaching her.
Saturday we did service for Sister B. and helped her clean a lot of her house. Then we saw the M.'s that night to help them set up their Christmas decorations and have cake for A's birthday. I love them so much and I am so glad they take such good care of us!!(:
Sunday was good. Sister H. and I got to speak in Sacrament on missions and Christ's example of missionary work. I thought it went pretty well. We also had a lesson with J. and that was interesting. I've realized with him that investigators really do have to come to their own conversion and you can't force them.
Monday was great. We had an awesome lesson with K., another one of our investigators. He has a baptismal date for the 28th of December! We just really need him to come to church. Then we had dinner with the N.'s. They are so wonderful and I am so grateful for them and how much they love us and take care of us(: We also saw A.'s horse!

I love you all so much. The gospel brings so much peace and happiness to our lives and I am forever grateful that Heavenly Father has given me this opportunity to serve Him!

love, Sister Brittany Anne Larsen(:

I love my new companion(:

Dear Everyone,

Life is so grand! I love my new companion SOOOO much! Her name is Sister Holm and she is from Bountiful, Utah(: She is so fantastic and is such a hard worker. I can already tell that she is going to be an amazing missionary.

-me and Sister Holm

So, this past week we traveled lots and lots. I got Sister Holm as my trainee, and we came back to Oliver. We have been working a lot with members lately to help some of them overcome some issues. I just love this area so much. Sister Holm and I had an experience yesterday where we learned a lot about the importance of following the Spirit in every single thing that we do. It is so important to listen to our Heavenly Father and the promptings that He gives us to keep us both spiritually and physically safe. I love this work so much and I am so thankful I have the chance to serve my Father in Heaven(: I love you all so much! Be good!

Love, Sister Brittany Anne Larsen(:

A week full of travels!

Dear Amazing Family and Fantastic Friends,

Well, this past week has been a little hectic, as usual haha we saw lots and lots of members because transfers are this week! Which, by the way, Sister Parkinson is being transferred to the lower mainland and I...*drum roll please* (like on Christmas Vacation lol only my fam will get that joke).............AM TRAINING!!!!!!!!! Woohoo! I am so stoked(: I meet my new companion on Thursday and can hardly wait! Anyways, this past week we had a mission conference and Elder Paul Johnson from the first quorum of the 70 came and spoke to us and it was so wonderful! Prophets, seers, and revelators really do exist in our day and I am so grateful for that. Anyways, i love you all so much and I hope you all have a wonderful week! remember to pray and remember that God loves you!!(:

What A Glorious Week for a Baptism!!!(:

Dear Family and Friends,

So, first of all, I am so so so sorry that I have been so horrible the last month or so with sending my big e-mail to everyone! The last few weeks have been so crazy and we don't get lots of time to e-mail, but know that I still love all of you(:

Tuesday was S.'s baptism!!! It was so amazing and Sister Parkinson and I were so excited for him! S. didn't stop smiling that whole day, and it was so amazing to be able to see him receive that initial saving ordinance that we all need to be able to return to live with our Father in Heaven once more. I don't know if all of you know this, but we had only been teaching S. for three weeks when he got baptized! We hadn't even taught him at all when we asked him if he wanted to be baptized. Heavenly Father just prompted us to invite him, so we did, and he accepted. God just blessed us so much with this miracle baptism and I am so grateful I was even able to be a part of it!

I was only a lot excited for S.'s baptism haha

Wednesday we had a conference call District Meeting. It was interesting haha it was hard to hear everyone, but it was good. I got to go on an exchange with our District Leader, Sister Kunz, and we came down here to Oliver. We street contacted and that was awesome. We also got to do some service for a less-active in our ward. We cleaned for her and she fed us this awesome dinner that consisted of ribs, salad, squash, and noodles. It was so good!!!

Thursday was Halloween so we had to be in our apartment by 5 o'clock so we didn't get to see any crazies. We did get to go over to the Bender's for dinner though and it was super good. We made mini pizzas. I miss making mini pizzas from home!!

I was a doll "missionary edition" for Halloween lol #superlame

A cute little candy shop in Oliver.  They made minion pumpkins for Halloween.
Friday we got to do a lot of service! We were able to rake leaves for this random person. They were super nice and gave us some chocolate for doing it haha Sister Parkinson had never raked leaves before so I kind of got to teach her how. It was pretty great, but our backs were really sore afterwards. We feel really old haha. We also got fed that night by a family in our branch, the N.s. They are so wonderful and we had lettuce wraps! It was delicious! They have 2 little girls that are so adorable and it really made me miss all my little cousins back at home!!
 Raking leaves! lol we didn't really rake the whole orchard. i just thought it'd be funny(;
Saturday Sister Parkinson and I had some mormon.org time for about an hour. Mormon.org is such a powerful tool and I hope all of you make one by Christmas! People that have questions or misconceptions about the church are able to learn so much from that website! It is great. We also had Stake Conference that night and it was broadcast at our chapel. It was awesome!!

Sunday we had Stake Conference in Vernon (about 3 hours away). So we got to drive there. It was a beautiful drive and Stake Conference was awesome! It was all about missionary work and President and Sister Tilleman both spoke as well. It was awesome(:

Monday (yesterday) was a great P-Day. Sis. P. taught me how to make homemade bread, so I'm a pro at that now, and we wrapped presents for our family's Christmas packages(: It was super awesome!
Making Bread.  I am a pro now.

I hope you all have a super wonderful week! I love you all so much! The church is true!

Love, Sister Brittany Larsen(:
